Santa’s Magical Post Office is coming to Red Lion Yard, which links the popular Lion Walk Shopping Centre with the High Street this Christmas.
Santa himself will open his Post Office on Sunday 29 November at 12noon – the same day as the town’s Christmas lights are switched on. One lucky child will get to help Santa with the official opening – just enter on the centre’s Facebook page. The whole town will be buzzing with festive fun and entertainment on Sunday 29 November, so make sure that you pay us a visit!
Santa’s Post Office will be open on the 29 November until 4.30pm and then every weekend from 11am to 4pm until Sunday 20 December plus Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 December. It will also be open from 4pm until 8pm on late night shopping Wednesdays.
Kids are invited to visit The Post Office and write a letter to Santa, with elves on hand to help to decorate the letter to make sure each one really stands out. Once the letter is written it can be posted in Santa’s enchanted post box and a magic map will show it travel all they way to Lapland!
Every letter that’s posted in the box will get a response from the big man himself, so don’t forget to include a return address!
Even if the Post Office isn’t open, the children can write the letter at home and still post it in the magic post box from 7am to 6.30pm every day.
To be in with a chance of having your child open the Magical Post office with Santa just ‘like’ Lion Walk Shopping Centre’s Facebook page and the post about Santa’s Magical Post Office, PLUS comment on the post with the child’s name and age between Monday 9 and Sunday 22 November. Your child must be aged between four and ten see the website for T&Cs.
PLUS, to get everyone in the Christmas spirit, Lion Walk and Red Lion Yard will host FREE festive entertainment throughout the Christmas period, with performances on most Saturdays and late night shopping Wednesdays. Performances will include the award-winning Funky Voices choir on Saturday 5 December and Wednesday’s late night shopping on 9 December, when they are supporting the Rotary Club’s Christmas collection.
And, of course, don’t forget that Lion Walk and Red Lion Yard are grrreat places for Christmas shopping, where shoppers can be sure to track down some roaringly great gifts and fabulous festive fashions in the big brand names stores and independents stores.
